Advanced Sampling

If it is determined that digital voices are necessary we utilize innovative cutting technology in reproducing the rich full sound of windblown pipes.  Typically, sampled electronic organ voices have consisted of only a few cycles, representing only milliseconds of a pipes waveform.  By sampling multiple seconds, not milliseconds the technical components of our organs produce digital sound that actually captures the illusive harmonic and inharmonic randomness and authentic animation of a real pipe.  We can also introduce activity into the samples, producing a warmth of tone unrivaled among electronic organs.  The utilization of attack, sustain and release samples produce some of the most realistic pipe sounds you will ever hear.  And because humans hear sound not only with their ears but also by sensing vibrations through the body, our digital samples are captured at rates ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 samples per second, providing a high end frequency response which produces a fullness of sound never before achievable.

Over thirty parameters per note per stop are all accessible via computer software and all voicing changes are completely reversible.  The samples are built into a custom specification designed specifically for your church and then finished on location by Jim.  While this may take days or even weeks to complete, the superior musical results are truly worth the effort.  It is a fact that the same pipe in the hands of two different voicers can produce two totally different sounds. The same holds true for digital voicing – even if two builders use the identical digital system.  Again Jim’s experience is crucial to produce the sound you are looking for.

Assembly and Testing

After finishing, the organ moves to the electrical and wiring department for final assembly by Eric Molenaar and his crew. Each organ is completely assembled in our shop and fully tested before it leaves the factory for installation.  We make certain that all components of the console are functioning properly. We test the wind system and ensure that each note on the chest is performing as it should.  After quality control testing, all is taken down and carefully packed for delivery and installation.  After installation we offer a ten-year warranty, one of the longest and inclusive in today’s industry.
